Simply add friends to start following their everyday moments, or follow specific channels to catch trending content tailored to your interests.

Discovery is built in. The Discover section helps you find popular stories, trending videos, and new friends worth following. Explore what resonates with the community and expand your network by connecting with people who share your passions and perspective.

Your Story is entirely yours to control. This private space is where you document your everyday life, building a personal archive one post at a time. You decide who sees what: make stories public to share with everyone, limit them to close friends only for a more intimate circle, or keep them just for yourself with the Only Me setting. Complete privacy and sharing flexibility mean you're always in charge of your narrative.

Optional permissions enhance your experience. Grant access to your device's storage to upload photos and videos, use your camera to capture moments on the fly, enable your mic for video creation, turn on location services for nearby place suggestions, or allow notifications so you never miss updates from friends and important announcements. All of these are optional—you can use KakaoStory's core features without them.
